For over 30 years, BHC has served the Bay Area as a vital community hub—training herbalists, empowering our community with short courses, and offering low-cost herbal health care to all.
We are proud of this past year’s achievements and are visioning ahead to how we can support this work even further. Your support ensures we can continue this work.
Celebrate This Year’s Growth:
✅ Thanks to our incredible communities contributions, this year we have:
✅ Taught 550+ students in our certification programs and short courses.
✅ Served 200+ clients in our low-cost Community Clinic with custom herbal medicines made in-house from locally grown herbs.
✅ Engaged 1,500+ community members in free programming and events, including Community Health Day, Makers markets, and more.
Offered free flower essence clinics in partnership with other nonprofits and community centers.
✅ Ensured no one was turned away from clinic care due to lack of funds.
✅ Began offering work trade based scholarships and custom payment plans to increase the accessibility to our Certification programs
Started the process of planning our medicinal teaching garden, to launch in 2026!
