Would you try Dry January with Data?

Most people go into Dry January thinking about willpower…
Shawn Talbott went into it with data.

In our new Explorer’s Way Episode, Shawn shares a simple but brutal ah-ha moment:
🍷 He loves wine. Has a small cellar. Enjoys the social ritual of a glass (or two) with dinner.

But once he started tracking his sleep, recovery, and heart rate variability, something jumped off the chart.

✅ One glass of wine? Fine.

❌ Two glasses? His sleep quality tanked. His recovery score dropped. His body was paying a price.

➡️ It wasn’t a moral issue. It wasn’t “being good” or “being bad.”

➡️ It was his biology giving him a clear signal.

That realization changed how he thinks about alcohol, stress, and recovery…and it’s the perfect story to sit with as everyone gears up for Dry January.

Instead of:
🤔 “I should drink less because it’s bad for me”

Try:
😊 “What does even one small habit change do to my sleep, mood, and performance?”

😊 “What happens to my data (and my day) when I give my body a genuine break?”
