Naringenin  is a flavonoid found in citrus fruits, particularly grapefruit, as well  as in tomatoes, beans, water mint and Greek oregano.

For example, in a recent clinical study in children with  bronchial pneumonia, 180 children were divided into either Naringenin or  azithromycin groups. After a 5-day oral administration, Naringenin was  reported to be safe and beneficial.
