Quinine, Elderberry & Good Company 🫐 🌿 🍷

One of my recent Joys have been gathering with a group of “Maker” friends…this is the kind of crew that greets you at the door with a glass of multi-fractional extracted Elderberry with a touch of vodka 😁 (A special recipe by Mary Andrews, GISP).

Today’s lineup of herbs and spices tells a story of botanical history: from cinchona bark and citrus peel to juniper and cardamom.

We’re brewing up quinine-rich tonic that not only keeps the mosquitos at bay but also celebrates the beauty of botanical chemistry at work.

There’s something deeply grounding about crafting in community: sharing knowledge, experimenting with flavor, and reconnecting with the plants that shape culture and medicine alike.
