Reconnected with two of my favorite Cal Poly California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo professors: Dave Keeling (inorganic chemistry) and Jan Simek (organic chemistry), years after moving back to San Luis Obispo (SLO).
🦋 No more chemistry labs for them, but just as much curiosity: one deep in birding, the other helping restore monarch populations.
🦅 Spent the day at Morro Bay spotting great blue herons, double-crested cormorants, and even bald eagles!
Different subjects, but the spirit of science is alive!
