The Regenerative Viticulture Foundation , and Caine Thompson is challenging others to *Take The One Block Challenge*.
🌱What if regeneration could start with just one block, one row, or even one patch of soil in your backyard?
The One Block Challenge is an invitation: take just one vineyard or growing block and begin applying regenerative practices, such as cover crops, biodiversity corridors, compost teas, minimal till, and pollinator habitat.
Measure how life returns to the soil, how resilience builds in the vines or and how flavor and quality reflect the health of the ecosystem.
But this isn’t limited to grapes or wine. Farmers, growers, and gardeners of all kinds can take part.
No matter what you cultivate…wheat, herbs, olives, vegetables, or just a row of beans in your backyard…choose one block, one row, one bed.
Pay attention. Experiment. Share what happens.
The foundations are universal:
🌿 Stimulate soil microbiome and organic matter
🌿Increase biodiversity above and below ground
🌿Reduce reliance on chemicals and heavy tilling
🌿Capture carbon while restoring water cycles
🌿Strengthen the connection between crops and community
This is both a personal and collective experiment. When many of us take one step, it becomes a movement.
➡️ Will you take the One Block Challenge? Whether you’re tending vines, managing fields, or experimenting in your home garden, start with one block, and let regeneration grow from there.
You have Been Challenged!
