Botanical Innovation: Don’t Fall Flat In The Middle-

Many botanical and ingredient stories fall flat for one simple reason:

They jump straight from “here’s our extract” to “here’s our claim”

and skip everything in between.

That “in between” is often where the real work lives:

🌿  The relationship between plant, place and people

🌿   How mechanisms and clinical signals make sense in context

🌿   How ingredients fit into real formulations and protocols

🌿   Where sourcing and quality choices become part of the narrative

When that layer is missing, even thoughtful products can end up sounding like commodities.

When it’s present, you start to see stories that:

✅    Make sense to formulators and clinicians

✅    Give marketing something deeper than taglines

✅    Help buyers understand why this ingredient matters and how to use it

I’m seeing more teams quietly grappling with this middle layer: trying to connect field, lab and marketplace in a coherent way.
